Google MapsI am writing this review on behalf of my 80-year-old mother regarding a very upsetting experience she had yesterday evening (March 11). My mother booked a cab by phone from Pines Living Aged Care Facility to O’Malley, and the cab arrived at approximately 6:02 p.m. When the driver learned that the destination was O’Malley, he became extremely rude and said the trip was “too short.” He then drove away, leaving my elderly mother standing there scared and confused. A taxi driver who accepts a booking should not refuse a passenger simply because the distance is short. Leaving an elderly passenger stranded after arriving is both unprofessional and concerning from a safety perspective. My mother has been a long-time customer of ACT Cab. In the past, even when there were delays in sending a cab, she remained patient and continued using the service. However, this driver’s behaviour was deeply upsetting and has shaken her. Seniors rely on taxi services for short local trips and deserve basic courtesy and respect. It is extremely disappointing that such conduct is tolerated. Because of this experience, our family will no longer be using ACT Cab services.
