Google MapsI had an extremely concerning experience with Dr Janina Szyndler as a family report writer in my parenting matter. In my opinion, the report was deeply one-sided, dismissive of my evidence, and far too willing to accept the father’s claims at face value while treating my concerns as unreliable or unimportant. What was most alarming was the apparent imbalance in how attachment, risk, and parenting capacity were assessed. In my view, the report gave undue weight to the father’s presentation and even elevated the importance of paid nannies in a way that minimised the significance of the child’s relationship with his mother. I found that extraordinary and profoundly troubling, especially given my son was only 2 years old at the time. I was left with the strong impression that the report could have placed my child at serious risk had its recommendations been followed. In my opinion, it reflected a disturbing lack of objectivity, poor forensic judgment, and a failure to properly test allegations before presenting them as reliable. Most tellingly, the Court ultimately rejected the report’s approach and the matter proceeded in my favour. That outcome only reinforced my view that the report was not a fair, balanced, or safe assessment of my child’s circumstances. I would strongly caution any parent about relying on this practitioner where careful, evidence-based, child-focused analysis is required.
