Google MapsCaring and professional medical personnel who put my son at ease before his surgery. Staff consistently kept me up to date and informed throughout our stay. Very Happy!

Google MapsMy wife has had four experiences at Shellharbour Private rehab the last being 22 months ago for a knee replacement. She had nothing but good reports re the treatment and quality of food. I myself had a horrendous bicycle accident in October 19 and have had the first week of my rehab in Shellharbour private, having been recently transferred from Port Kembla Public rehab. I could not honestly have given anymore than a 2/5 star rating. The quality of the food is disgraceful, a very very poor menu selection. I feel the food was superior in the pubic system than the private system. The quality of food is questionable. Each mealtime some item has been left off my order. Porridge with no milk, no condiments, no tea or coffee just hot water. My wife is having to supplement my intake of food. This is disgraceful that she has to bring in food to a private hospital. As I am a type one diabetic and need my BSL's read prior to eating I have always relied on the nursing staff to do so and rightly so they should keep records that it has been carried out. I finished my dinner and my BSL level was not tested prior to eating. I had to ask why. The nurses answer was I should have buzzed her to 'remind her' as she has 30 other patients to think of, Seriously!. To put the icing on the cake she couldn't find the insulin I was prescribed. WTF since when do patients take charge of their own medication in hospital. I am more than dissatisfied with Shellharbour Private and would be hesitant to return to such a poorly organised hospital.

Google MapsFantastic experience as an inpatient for post neurosurgery rehab. Caring, compassionate nursing team, great medical staff, amazing rehab physios and occupational therapists. Making incredible progress every day thanks to these wonderful people.

Google MapsI had shoulder replacement surgery, the level of care was very good. The nurses were fun and made my stay very enjoyable. I liked the food and size of serving.
