Google MapsIt appears that confusion reigns supreme within accounts at BlueCare. There has been no consistency whatsoever over the months from January to May this year in relation to the billing for my sister who is a resident at the Rothwell BlueCare facility. For starters, the monthly billing amounts were ~ $4000 through late 2025, up until 20 February 2026, then up by over $2000 for 20 March to $6354-47, then back down on 23 April to $2360.40 as part of a monthly payment plan set up for April, May and June. Well that didn't work according to plan either, as the billing cycle became 2 weeks (rather than monthly), with the 7 May bill of $2266-73, then another $172-35 billed on 25 May. Then the real doozie of a bill for $9568.41 arrived for payment on 20 June! Re: this bill, it appears that the money changers in the UnitingCare temple are billing my sister based on proceeds yet to be deposited from the sale of her unit, even though I have been advised that the funds will only be deposited in her account in a couple of weeks time! It is anticipated that the sale of her unit will be settled in a week or so from now, but the proceeds via the conveyancing process are only expected to be deposited in her bank account ~ 2 weeks later! How can the value of the unit she once owned (no longer her asset), or the proceeds from the sale yet to be deposited in her account, be considered in her assets assessment when neither are actually in her possession, or her name, or in the one and only bank account that she has!! Once her next fortnightly pension is deposited in her bank account, she will still only have a bank balance of approximately one third of the amount that BlueCare have determined as owing in ~ 2 weeks time, on June 20! A similar occurrence had to be rectified in May, but this was only corrected because I questioned the bill (as EPOA for my sister) when the bill sent was for $7032.59 with $2266.73 flagged as an overdue amount which I paid immediately, resulting in the 25 May difference payment of the $172.35. I have wasted an inordinate amount of my time because of these errors in BlueCare’s billing of my sister, which, as a pensioner, she certainly can not afford. Even worse, is that each bill going forward will have to be checked to ensure that accounts at BlueCare have in fact billed the correct amount, especially given their record to date! I should add that I asked my sister to leave me out of her will so that I could be completely objective and that any and all decisions made by me were, to the best of my abilitiy, solely based on what is in the best interests of my sister.
Some days the carers turn up at same time one for shower and other the take me shopping, bit hard to do both at once.. Or say they come at 1 pm and turn up at 2 pm. Without as much as a phn call.. But they do a fantastic job, its the people arranging their jobs to different ppl how r stuffing things up. The girls in Gladstone office r faced with such stuff ups not their fault all comes from Rocky, where they don't know what the bloody hell is going on, they are getting staff to drive a 30 minute drive in less than 5 minutes, very impossible...
