Google MapsNo respect for patient time — fundamentally broken booking system I've been a patient at Our Medical Marsden Park for some time, and my experiences here have been consistently frustrating — not because of the quality of the GPs themselves, but due to a booking system and queue management process that seems entirely designed to waste patients' time. The most glaring issue is the inability to book appointments in advance. There is no phone booking, no online pre-booking — you are required to physically attend the centre just to secure an appointment. To add insult to injury, the app only becomes usable once you are in close physical proximity to the centre, meaning you must drive there simply to find out whether a GP is even available. On multiple occasions I have made the 10-minute trip, waited, and only upon arrival discovered that the GP is fully booked and not accepting any more patients for 3 hours. That wasted journey — time, fuel, and effort — could have been avoided with the most basic digital infrastructure. While the app does show GP availability, this information is not reliable enough to act on. I have turned up based on what the app indicated, only to be turned away. There is clearly a disconnect between what the app displays and what is actually happening at reception. Today's visit was particularly poor. There was only one receptionist on duty with a queue of roughly ten people. That sole staff member was simultaneously managing file work and assisting patients in complex transactions — meaning there was nobody available to answer even the simplest enquiries from patients standing in line. Queue management was non-existent, and the wait was unnecessarily prolonged as a result. Once you do manage to secure an appointment through the app, the problems continue. There is no queue position indicator — you have no way of knowing whether your wait will be fifteen minutes or two hours. Your only option is to stay on-site or keep returning to ask reception, which adds further pressure to an already understaffed front desk. "A medical centre asking patients to drive in just to check availability, with no queue position tracking and chronic understaffing at reception, is failing a basic duty of care to its patients' time." The fixes required here are not radical. Remote bookings, a live queue tracker in the app, adequate front-desk staffing, and a reliable real-time availability display would transform the experience. Until these are in place, I cannot recommend this centre to anyone who values their time.

Google MapsAfter some setting up and app downloading before attending the medical centre the process was seamless. Immediate entry and directed directly to the room of the doctor via the app. Seen within 5 minutes. Doctor was great. Pharmacy within allowed me to leave within 40 minutes with my new prescription medication. X-Ray was closed but I understood the earlier closure on a Saturday. A very positive experience!
I had a very disappointing experience at this our medical clinic. I waited for more than two hours past my appointment time and still wasn’t able to see the doctor. During that time, several patients who arrived after me were called in before me, without any explanation. It felt very unfair and disrespectful of my time. I understand that delays can happen in healthcare, but better communication and fair queue management are essential. Unfortunately, my experience left me frustrated, and I hope the clinic improves its scheduling and keeps patients informed when significant delays occur.
Love my local medical centre, it honestly has everything I need in one place, which is such a win. My only gripe is the queues. Some doctors seem to absolutely smash through them while still giving patients great care, and then others are giving “time is a social construct” energy. 😭 Like why has the line not moved in 60 minutes? I totally get that every patient is different and some consultations take longer. But when you can clearly see some doctors moving with urgency while others are so nonchalant about the queue growing… it’s hard not to notice. Still a great medical centre overall. Just hoping everyone remembers the waiting room isn’t meant to become a second home. 🫶
Our Medical Marsden Park is a large bulk‑billing medical centre that’s open long hours every day and offers GP consultations, dental services, pathology, radiology and allied health in one location — which can be very convenient for families and locals. It’s great that they provide Medicare bulk‑billed GP visits without needing an appointment, and many patients appreciate the free access to care and the extended hours right through to late evening. However, experiences here are very mixed. A number of people have praised certain doctors and staff for being caring and thorough, and some patients find the check‑in app useful for tracking their queue. Unfortunately, many reviews also highlight very long wait times (often 2–3+ hours), confusion or issues with the mobile check‑in system, and inconsistent customer service at reception. Some patients also report difficulty reaching the centre by phone and feeling that administrative processes could be improved. Overall, it’s a useful option if you need accessible bulk‑billed care and don’t mind potentially long waits, but be prepared that your experience may vary depending on timing and staffing on the day.
