Mel is the literal embodiment of Mary Poppins for autistic children! She had a spell over my son the moment he met her. He never takes to anyone, but when he saw her for the first time he jumped off the couch, hugged her and started touching her face and giggling like he had met his soul mate. It brought tears to my eyes to see him show such obvious signs of love for someone he only just met. She is working wonders with him, is so talented at what she does and I just can’t recommend Gentle Sensory more!

They aren't neuroaffirming as a business. For example, PBS and social skills training using PBII are not neuroaffirming. Having neurodivergent staff does not equal actually being neuroaffirming. Edited to respond to reply: Nothing in the response changes my view that this business has a fundamental misunderstanding of what neuroaffirming actually means. It also does not address at all the use of PBS which is well-known in the Autistic community as not being neuroaffirming and being based in ABA and a behaviourist approach. I encourage people to do their own research on the neurodiversity affirming movement.

We have had Maria from Gentle Sensory in for a number of staff professional development sessions this year. They are always informative, engaging and beneficial for our work as educators, particularly assisting neurodiverse students or those with additional learning, behavioural or social needs.

We are so lucky to have found Maria and the team at Gentle Sensory! My 6yo ASD/ADHD son really enjoys his sessions with Maria. He clicked with her on day 1 and we haven't looked back. They just get it, I don't feel like I constantly need to advocate for, or explain my sons needs and behaviours. It has been a tremendous support and relief to find this service. Highly recommend!

My son has been seeing Maria for Gentle Sensory for a number of weeks now and wow she is amazing, takes my son a while before opening up, well not with Maria, 1st session finished and straight away he asked when are we going back. It's also great seeing changes at home. I can't thank Maria enough for her support. Thankyou
