Quite discussing as they have had a patient there for nearly 20 years and then just dumps them to the curb while dealing with cancer. How disgusting. And is over 60 that’s not fair. All because she isn’t aboriginal. They knew that all them years ago and still allowed her there due to family grandchildren etc being of a originality.

After 15 years of coming here I've just been hit with needing a "proof of aboriginality" card. No one else in my family has been asked to produce this when booking an appointment which leaves me to believe that they targeted me for not being as dark as the rest of my family and is this not racial discrimination?

Never have I ever felt so isolated and ignored. I'm suppose to have a team of people all across the bored. I have 1 dr, a new dr I hadn't met before, and my care is court ordered. But I'm on a list and waiting for a call back, also I've been referred to someone who can "help". 7 mths later, court in 3 days and I'm still waiting, now I find out it's 3 mths till my next dr appointment 💔

If I could leave no stars I would. After waiting 8 Years for our loved one to say they wanted help to get off the drugs and want to go to rehab, this service completely FAILED them. From the minute we walked in the door to the Drug and alcohol service we were met with total incompetence. The DA worker continually spoke about processes and said there would be at least a 6 month wait . Why tell someone who is begging for help all the barriers?? Spoken to the Fantastic team at Mungabareena Lisa and Tash and they worked hard to support us and had 2 rehabs lined up within a couple of days . But all their hard work was undone by the complete incompetence of AWAHS !!! This was only the tip of the iceberg of what conspired following thIs. That worker then went on to show no duty of care and left our loved one who is not only mental but also serverly physically unwell in a vulnerable and risky situation, and went agai st Doctors directives and bail conditions !!! We will be taking this further and I encourage anyone else who has had similar experiences with the female D&A worker to make a formal complaint and contact the funding body
