I'm not a client with Empowered Living, but I happened to reach out to people on a local community facebook page requesting if anyone might know of a service (not too expensive as I'm on a disability pension) that maybe able to help getting a large electric chair from Queensland to Sydney. By sheer chance the director of this organisation saw the post and let me know she will be picking up a van from Queensland specifically for her business that accommodates mobility aids in the next 2 weeks and she'd be more than willing to help if she can. I was absolutely beside myself and completely astonished that this service offered to transport this chair for me and also not charge me! That's completely unheard of. I am so immensely grateful for this level of generosity and I will definitely look into become a client of theirs. As a disabled person who is already struggling, having kind people in the world that are willing to help where the NDIS refuses is honestly life changing. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
