Google MapsI ended up at Monash ED for 7 hrs following a miscarriage. I can't even complain about the wait because each member of staff I interacted with - from nurses, drs , sonographers, specialists etc were extremely empathetic and competent. In the waiting room , I was checked on and offered pain medication for crampingm.They were able to follow through with all reports and post discharge follow up- which is more than I can say about other major hospitals.

Google MapsAlways busy, and you have to park like 5 story's up but theirs lifts so eh.. I think its a great medical centre. Usual public wait times of 10.20 hours but as long as you take a snack and water you'll be fine haha. I feel the doctors and medical staff are all very patient tho and friendly

Google MapsI was absolutely shattered at how the nurses and doctors treat the patients here. We were sent to the adult emergency waiting room, where my partner sat and waited in pain for 8 hours!!! Not once in that whole time of being there did a nurse or doctor check on us to see if we were alright or if we needed anything let alone acknowledge that we were even there, they were happy to just chit chat in the office. After all that waiting we finally had 5 minutes with doctor Russell Wai Kay Leong, who completely dismissed the reason why we attended the hospital in the first place. Making my partner feel as though he was no importance, there was absolutely no duty of care. Very disappointing for an emergency centre that should be taking everyone seriously.

Google MapsThe hospital staff are lovely. However, they currently have only 2 wheelchair car parks. Both on a curve. At a Major Hospital! 2?!? Also I have still not found an adult disability bathroom with a high low bed & hoist. I’ve asked multiple staff members & they have been unable to confidently direct me to one also. Where do people with a higher disability change continuance aides here ?!?. I have made a written complaint & heard nothing after several months.

Google MapsVisited 2/11/2022 Monash Medical Centre Clayton was my home for 5 weeks. I was admitted to the hospital due to excruciating wing-muscle pain, not knowing that I suffered from life-threatening aortic aneurysm. Thanks to all the medical specialists, theatre staff and nursing staff, I escaped death. Before and after 3 major open-heart surgeries, I received numerous CT scans, ultra sound, x-ray and ECG to ensure everything went alright. I was "pampered" medically. The CCU and ICU were well equipped, the nursing staff were well trained and most were compasionate. After 2 weeks at these units, I was transferred to a newly renovated isolation room at the end of a passageway for reasons not explained. The room was cold like a hell-hole; not only myself reckoned so, but also other nursing staff, doctor, and the ultra sound techician felt the chill. I complained to the staff, but the matter could not be resolved, as the temperature was centrally controlled. Couldn't a portable heater be supplied to overcome this problem? My biggest gripe was that I sent a personal message to the highest Board member via LinkedIn begging for help, but not responded. I "froze" for 7 days in the "morgue". After almost 3 weeks a nurse asked my when I has my last shower, and I replied I had a body wipe when I was first admitted to the hospital. I thought all all the cuts and wound, I was not to supposed to contact with water. She really blew her top, totally disguised how I was treated. She took me to the shower, and cleaned me. I felt to clean and refresh! The meals were good, varied and well presented. However, due to my condition, I did not have the appetite, and my taste buds did not function as normal to appreciate. I have ro clarify that I was in private wards within the public system. I have my money worth for all my years of contribution to health insurance.
