About the service

About Employment & Education Support under the NDIS

Employment and education support helps participants gain and keep open employment, or access education and training that leads toward work — help to find a job, on-the-job coaching, workplace assessments and adjustments, building work-readiness skills, and support to participate in study. For many people with disability, the barriers to work are about the right support and reasonable adjustments rather than ability.

Support is tailored to your journey, from building confidence and work-readiness to help with applications and interviews to on-the-job coaching that reduces as you settle in. It complements mainstream services such as Disability Employment Services, with the NDIS funding employment supports that relate to your disability and goals without duplicating those programs. When choosing a provider, look for genuine experience getting people with your type of disability into open employment, strong employer relationships, and a personalised approach focused on sustainable, meaningful work — both getting a job and keeping it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many Employment & Education Support providers are there in Queensland?

There are 291 NDIS Employment & Education Support providers listed in Queensland.

What is the average rating of Employment & Education Support providers in Queensland?

The average rating is 4.3 across 220 reviewed providers.

What kind of employment support does the NDIS fund?

How does this work with Disability Employment Services?

NDIS employment supports are designed to complement, not duplicate, mainstream programs such as Disability Employment Services. Understanding how the pieces fit together helps you get coordinated support, which gives the best chance of a durable employment outcome.

How do I choose an employment support provider?
