Austral Domestic Cleaning

They booked to start my cleaning and then never turned up. No call… no text… I was honest and let them know there were cameras on the property before they quoted me so they felt comfortable. I could have said nothing but that’s dishonest. They booked my job regardless and were ready to start. On the day they didn’t turn up! After lots of messages and calls from me they finally text me back the NEXT day saying that they didn’t want to do the job because of the cameras! Very strange… but I was certainly not happy!

The clean itself was done well, however for the price we paid ($627), the overall experience was disappointing. After payment, I was informed by our property manager (not the cleaning company directly) that a few small items had been left behind (including a protein bar and mop head), and that there would be an additional $100 charge to dispose of them. At no point was I contacted by the cleaning company to confirm whether these items were actually rubbish or to give me the option to collect them myself. I have since emailed the company twice with no response and have had to take time out of my day to collect the keys and deal with the situation myself. While the cleaning quality was good, the lack of communication and unexpected extra charges mean I wouldn’t use this company again Reply to Ruben: (comment below) Hi Ruben, At no point did you contact either us or the property manager regarding the items left behind. The property manager conducted an inspection after your clean and was the one who identified the items, then contacted us directly. We advised her that the cleaner had not informed us of anything being left. We were then told that your cleaner had advised there would be an additional $100 charge to remove these items, which was the first we had heard of the issue. I emailed you directly on Thursday to discuss this and received no response. I followed up again on Tuesday and again received no reply. After allowing a full week without any communication from you, I left a review on Thursday. Given that we paid $627.00 for a two-bedroom apartment clean, it is not reasonable that the job was left incomplete and that I then had to take time out of my day to resolve it myself due to your lack of response. Your communication throughout this process has been poor, and it should not take leaving a Google review to receive a reply.
