Physiotherapy has drastically improved our lives. Since starting with Kids Therapy Newcastle, my child has been correctly assessed and accurately diagnosed, and I’ve had the diagnosis explained to me in a way I can truly understand. This has empowered me to better support her needs. Without regular physiotherapy, my child would likely become almost completely physically dependent on others. Thanks to ongoing therapy, she is now building strength, improving her gait, and learning to use the correct muscles for everyday activities that many of us take for granted—like sitting, standing, walking, running, using the toilet, and maintaining posture. Early intervention has played a crucial role in preventing more severe complications, and continuing physiotherapy is absolutely essential to help her become an independent adult. Physiotherapy has proven to be one of the most vital support services in my child's life—equally as important as speech therapy. While occupational therapy has also been beneficial, it has been harder to access long-term and hasn't had the same lasting impact. We are incredibly grateful to Newcastle Kids Therapy for their unwavering support from day one. Their dedication has given my child the best possible chance at a more independent and fulfilling life, and we sincerely hope this service continues to be available to families like ours.
