Google MapsVery disappointed with Sue. I made an appointment to meet her that we both agreed on. She didn’t show up and didn’t have the decency to text or call before our scheduled home visit. When I contacted her to ask where she was, she told me she wasn’t coming. I was astounded! She told me she wasn’t coming AFTER our appointment and only because I text her first. I had taken the morning off work to meet her, and as someone with a psychiatric disability I had spent the entire morning anxious for our appointment. i also missed out on another engagement because I had to stay home to wait for Sue that day. I immediately knew that if Sue was going to be that unprofessional, we couldn’t work together. But I knew she never wanted to work with me anyway- after all, even though she offered apology that she was not going to come and it seemed benign, it’s obvious that she never once offered to reschedule (again highlighting how rude and unprofessional the whole thing was). But the icing on the cake was after I told her we wouldn’t be a good fit anyway (i couldn’t ever work with a professional who ghosts me and then doesn’t even offer to reschedule) she responded with “me either”. - that’s what upset me the most. That she had the audacity to imply that some part of me was not ideal for her to want to work with either. Fact: Sue committed to a home visit and didn’t show up. Fact: when assertively confronted with the no show, she offered no solution in terms of reschedule or way to remedy our meeting that was very important to me. Fact: I, the participant with a disability, did nothing wrong at all. I was super polite. So how come she doesn’t think we would be a good fit? Because I stood up to Sue? Maybe Sue doesn’t like her participants to call out her blatant rudeness. Please save yourself the trouble of contacting Sue. This whole interaction has caused me such immense stress and anxiety. I cannot believe she advertises as someone working with NDIS and mental health… be wary of folk trying to take advantage of the vulnerable. I’ve attached a photo of our text correspondence because it’s just not believable that someone could be so blasé about ruining the morning of someone with a disability. Thanks again, Sue. 👍
