Google MapsReally confusing building, half of it is Barwon health North. Had to ask where to enter. Then couldn't find where the interviews were being held. Had to ask again and even that person didn't know, so I walked up 2 flights of stairs only to come back down and find the room. Signage would be great inside and out

Google MapsI was looking for information about where to get a new NDIS plan as she gets older and while she tried to help, I was also deeply offended by one of her comments. She suggested that Brotherhood of St Laurence would be a possibility. I explained that I would prefer a different provider as I don't want to be with a provider aligned with the Anglican or any any kind of church. This is what she said that has continued to upset me. "You shouldn't put your religious beliefs before the needs of your child." This was very upsetting for many reasons. First, she has assumed I would deny my severely autistic child supports or help. This is a comment on my duty of care. Secondly, these aren't 'religious beliefs'. I do not want to align with a religious organisation because I have a strong moral compass. Religious orders have a long history of child sexual abuse in Australia and globally. Research as of last year revealed 87,000 Australians have experienced child sexual abuse in religious organisations at the hands of leaders or adults - including the Anglican church. And that statistic is only for people alive. The amount of people over the centuries who have been abused at their hands over centuries would number in the millions. Religious organisations have blood on their hands from the suicides of sexual abuse victims. As reception is your first customer touchpoint, please advise them not to tell parents what they should and should be doing. They have no insight into our personal situations and making assumptions like that can cause considerable damage. As a result I will be telling everyone I know to stay away from Gateways as it doesn't wholly support parents or believe in protecting children from predators.

Google MapsFri 10th May 2024 was my Dads 80th. The Gateway was the perfect venue to celebrate this special time. Great choice of foods (freshly cooked, full of flavour). Staff are friendly, well dressed and very accommodating. Highly recommend. A+
