Google MapsMy expressions of pain were dismissed when I saw the physio. for the second time on a Saturday in October 2022 regarding gluteal pain, and to have dry needling in my hip muscle. He said, "the healing journey isn't linear," and, at the end of the session, that "there is a low correlation between pain and damage." Well, turned out I had a cartilage tear (labral tear) in the femoral head. This resulted in a trip to Emergency at Maitland Hospital in excruciating pain and being barely able to walk by the following Tuesday morning. Had to have an MRI at the cost of $310.00, X-rays and an ultrasound after being referred to my GP. Also had to take unpaid sick leave from my new job of 2 weeks, could not sleep, and had to take prescription Endone and anti-inflammatories. Walking was extremely painful so I had to walk slowly and stooped on a walking stick. Today (10/12/22) is the first day I have been able to walk unaided. I have since been seeing a chiropractor weekly who has listened to my concerns and helped me immensely. At least his fees are justified. I will never go to a physiotherapist again.
