I have been with Nurse Next Door Batemans Bay for 4 months. I am really impressed with their standard of professionalism. They are empathetic, practical and hard-working on behalf of clients.

Nurses Next Door has always treated me with dignity and respect and at my most vulnerable moments they continue to make me feel respected. I cannot recommend them high enough.

NND Batemans Bay/Canberra provided our adult son with multiple & complex disabilities a superior service whilst we were holidaying in the area of Mollymook NSW! The prompt response after my initial call to NND was refreshing & the information gathered by Amanda at the beginning was spot on to address Ben’s Care Needs & to develop a tailored care plan. The chosen S/worker (RN) Kate was truly wonderful & provided superior care & support to our son Ben. Within a short timeframe, due to her expertise, knowledge & skills, she was able to independently support our son. This NND worker always arrived with a ‘can-do’ respectful caring attitude at all times & treated Ben (& our family) with warmth & the upmost respect. We were so thankful to find Nurse Next Door when our Mum needed assistance to remain living at home independently, she was treated with respect and kindness by Nurse Next Doors professional carers. After moving to residential care and having major surgery Nurse Next Door was an absolute saviour in Mums post operative care. Every interaction with the Nurse Next Door has been positive, with people who really care.

My experience was quite different from other reviews which were glowing. Where are the not so good reviews? I had a carer come for 7 months just to do basic personal care. When Mum had a small bed sore, I was told we don't do wound management which I was quite surprised as another review mentioned they did? The carer did what she wanted and not always what I instructed her to do. Her response was I won't be forcing her. I am paying for personal care which was a basic wipe down of her body and a pad change and a small break for me. I've been caring for many years for my mother and you just have to do that side of care even when it gets hard. I also let the scheduling team and care manager know mum is in hospital for at least 10 weeks. They're was no communication from the care manager at all in that time frame to reach out and offer me some moral support. I had to reach out to her and instead of ringing me for that personal touch I received a very long text saying in hindsight I should of reached out etc, more excuses. I found that Nurse Next door was quite basic in their care giving but expensive in their fees which don't add up. When your paying alot of money the care must match. When I requested staff they were either two young, not experienced enough or not from a english speaking background. They're are so many companies now offering you the best care but sorely do not deliver. I wouldn't recommend them if you needed high care, they only offer very basic care. Disappointed ☹️
