I took my husband to get the infection on his hand looked at, we sat in the hospital for hours was told he needs a ct scan to see the extent of the infection. No scan completed but was noted on his file he had one. His bed was also given away while having a smoke.

Have been told by my GP that if l need to be hospitalised then go to Adelaide! Can see why. Went there with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning and got told by Dr to go home, take a Panadol and don't 'over think it'! Nurse's are great as usual

I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Accident & Emergency team at Port Pirie Hospital for the exceptional care provided to my father on 28th May 2025. From the moment he arrived, both the day and night teams displayed extraordinary professionalism, compassion, and dedication. A special thank you to Dr. Nancy and Dr. Matthew, whose commitment and calm expertise were deeply reassuring during an incredibly difficult time for our family. Their willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed. We would also like to commend the day RN and night shift team leader, who demonstrated outstanding leadership and clinical excellence throughout. Their attentiveness and competence gave us great comfort and confidence in the care being delivered. Port Pirie should be immensely proud of the incredible medical professionals serving in its Emergency Department. Their hard work, empathy, and unwavering dedication made all the difference during a critical moment for our family, and we are truly grateful.
