My experience with the behaviour specialist from Ability Action was absolutely appalling. I would give zero stars if Google allowed it. The level of professionalism, communication and genuine understanding of the participant’s needs was far below what I would expect from someone working with vulnerable people in the disability sector. What was most concerning was the complete lack of confidence I was left with in the service being provided. Behaviour support is an area where competence, communication, accountability and collaboration with the participant’s support network are critical. In my experience, those standards were simply not met. Dealing with the situation became unnecessarily frustrating and stressful, and I was extremely disappointed with the way matters were handled. When families and providers engage a behaviour specialist, they are placing an enormous amount of trust in that person. They deserve someone who listens, communicates clearly, works collaboratively and puts the participant at the centre of every decision. Based on my experience, I could not recommend Ability Action's behaviour support service and would strongly encourage anyone considering them to ask detailed questions about the practitioner assigned to them, their experience, communication practices and approach before proceeding.

The Allied Health Team were amazing to work with, extremely professional and knowledgeable in answering all the questions I had accordingly. They were also passionate in showcasing their work and service.

I've had a fantastic experience with Ability Action Australia. The team have been incredibly friendly, professional and supportive, and I've really loved working with them. Highly recommend!
