Review update
Ability Works gives my son & his wife a very real purpose in life, to feel important and needed, to be able to contribute to the community, as well as making them feel independent that they are able to participate in a lot of things that able bodied people do thus giving them a real sense of belonging and boosting their self esteem.
The continual upgrading and checking of equipment, and the ongoing training of all employees is second to none.
All employees are given many opportunities to refine or upgrade their skills, no matter what their disability may be.
The staff are extremely friendly and very approachable at all times.

My son uses this service and they're absolutely wonderful. I can't praise them highly enough. They treat him with the utmost respect, cater to his disability and always encourage him to reach his potential. They're always providing training and support. They're also very sympathetic and understanding. From what I've seen from my one tour, it's very well run and people feel safe and secure. Everyone had a smile while concentrating on what they're doing. They're confident because others are confident in them. Ability Works provide constant supervision and provide emotional support where needed. The new manager has brought a lot more work and is doing a great job and, I believe, is a real asset, while staff have always been very helpful. It's a brilliant concept, bringing people with disability into the workforce.
I work in four different areas across Ability Workers Supported Employment, engineering, process, logistics, forklift driving – I've been working there for 15 years. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are all friendly. The pay is good and works well for me. I'm also on the Employees Representative Committee and we monthly to talk about how the business is going and if there are any issues from the employees. I get to bring any issues from the staff to the meeting and the management are open to listen to my suggestions. The discipline and routine of working there has been great, I'm a lot happier than I use to be. I get on well with the other employees, they are very friendly people. I'd recommend it as a workplace.
My daughter uses Ability Works and we've found them to be very good. They have great communication and deal with any issues quickly and effectively. They very much value their employees, including my daughter, and also offer plenty of training, which is great.
I have worked at Ability Works and they're on the up-and-up. They're really productive with all the work coming in and definitely going places. Their strategies under new management are excellent. I love the improvements they're making and how they're interacting with businesses. For instance, say we're doing a job with a business they'll get employees from that business to understand things from our perspective. It's all been brilliant.

ClickabilityMy daughter and son-in-law both use the service and have been for the past 15 years. The supports are excellent. The amount and variety of work is great, as is the continued support and the social ambience that they get from it too. It's got even better over the past 12 months. I'd definitely recommend Ability Works.
