Google MapsMy 12yo ASD ADHD daughter went to Louise for a second session yesterday. The first session had been overwhelming for my daughter as she failed to recognise her own body cues indicating fatigue. We suggested that our OT come along to this, the second session. Louise was supportive of our OT being present to facilitate communication and to help translate suggestions into actions. Louise embraced recommendations, and listened to the way the OT communicated. She encouraged and supported my daughter to use interoception to decide if she needed to have a break. The session was very much participant centred, with Louise overseeing the exercises and staying focused on the goals. Best thing? My daughter had fun and is willing to return. In fact, she’s looking forward to returning for the next sessions. Thanks Louise. We need professionals like you on our team.
