Triage nurses are extremely unprofessional. 20 weeks pregnant lady went at 6 pm, got checked at 1am after 7 hrs of long wait. Blood test gave at 2am and got results at 6am . Extremely unprofessional. A big advice for triage nurses : go and learnt humanity first, you are not meant to serve patients . Victoria government pls start delivering a course on humanity or else start delivering a whole unit on humanity subject so that these nurses can learn about basic humanity nature

Google MapsWhen people talk about our hospital system, they often focus on what goes wrong. This is an example of treatment that went exceptionally well. I wanted to take the time to leave a very positive review for University Hospital Geelong, because patients are often far more motivated to write about negative experiences than positive ones, and that certainly isn’t the case here. A special thank you to the Emergency doctors, Jen, Ben, and Tom. Their professionalism, calm manner, and clear communication made a stressful situation far easier to manage. The nursing staff were outstanding. Ash, along with the rest of the nursing team (I wish I could remember everyone’s names), showed genuine care, compassion, and dedication throughout my stay. Importantly, this all took place over a holiday weekend, when I’m sure the demands on staff were significantly higher than usual. Despite this, every interaction was patient-focused, kind, and reassuring. From the moment I was admitted until discharge, I felt completely confident that I was in good hands. Thank you to all staff members — doctors, nurses, and support staff alike. Your hard work, especially during busy periods, does not go unnoticed and is deeply appreciated.

Google MapsI had my son here in September last year via C section. I was admitted to hospital for 3 weeks straight, prior to the birth, because I had pre-eclampsia. All the nurses, midwives and staff were so lovely. I felt like they genuinely cared about me. The only thing i could fault them on, was that the Doctors took a long time to come around and do their rounds, and update you on what was happening or what day the C section was to be had. But this could just be because they are so busy and have a lot of people to see on their rounds. All the staff knew me by the end of the 3 weeks. My son was then in Special Care here for 10 days, because he was premmie and all the nurses in there were fantastic. I had no worries at all leaving him in their care. Highly recommend this hospital for pregnancy/birth.
I gave birth on the 6/5/2026 and I had the best experience regarding the care of me and my new baby. Every nurse and midwife that I met, that was involved in my son’s birth or care during our stay was incredible. They listened to what I needed, they approached me with kindness and respect and made what is quite an overwhelming experience, a really amazing one. Thankyou to Brooke & Caz for the safe delivery of my little man 🩷

Google MapsHonestly hard to tell what goes on here sometime you get great staff some time I feel like I’m just going around and around. Food is a good as it gets when it comes to hospital food and wait time can be up to 10 plus hours. Still it is a free service provided by the government, like anything could be better. Still better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
