Google MapsThis is a wonderful organization serving the local Greek and Australian community with a variety of professional care services. The Greek community has a long and rich history as part of Brisbane culture, including the wife of the first Governer of Queensland, who was from the Ionian island of Corfu. Today GOC Care provides care services to people like me who have Greek heritage, but also from many other backgrounds. You will truly feel welcome and cared for no matter who you are. The staff at GOC are impeccable in the care they provide. No matter what the concern, I have alsways been treated with genuine respect, and even the smallest matter is treated with the upmost importance. All the staff work tireless and are dedicated. When I was in crisis, I asked one of the workers why they go out of their way to help beyond what they need to, the response was, "because I love what I do". Together with the Greek Orthodox community, not only are your physical needs met, but if you so choose, your spiritual needs are met as well. Those ancient values of caring for the physical and spiritual person are still at work here. Because I have worked in allied health, I know I would not get the same care anywhere else.
GOC Care provided exceptional care for both my husbands parents. We received the very best support and access to aged care services. The friendly and caring staff made caring for our loved ones a much easier process and were always available to give advice and support when needed.

Google MapsThis company doesn't care about the clients OR its staff. The carers we met were lovely, but the way the company is run is absolutely terrible. My Aunt's requests for service changes when needed for emergency situations were handled brutally. They refused to accommodate requests for specific carers when she had developed great rapport with particular people who made her comfortable and happy. The case manager was so bad at coordinating her services and keeping on top of what was happening with her health and care needs. The carers worked so hard and do their absolute best to make up for all the mistakes from the office team, but it is very unfair to them that they have to do so. GOC really need a huge overhaul in head office because the way they run now is appalling; this company clearly just wants the money and does not care about helping elderly people at all. I'm pleased to say we are receiving a much higher standard of care with our new provider.
If I could this company zero stars I would. Refuse to provide care and assistance even when family member has funding. Care Manager does not care for our family member. Everything is a struggle to get approved and we feel this Care Manager is making it personal to the distress of my family member. Will keep reporting them to OPAN. Just a disgrace. It's all about the money for this company and no care.
We have had a consistently disappointing experience with GOC Aged Care and feel compelled to share it in the hope that it helps others make a more informed decision when choosing an aged care provider. From the outset, there has been a complete lack of urgency and reliability in the way GOC handles requests. Important services are delayed far beyond what is reasonable whether it’s arranging an Occupational Therapist, following up on care needs, or simply returning a phone call. There is little to no proactivity, and any momentum only comes when we repeatedly chase things ourselves. Appointments are frequently missed with no communication from staff to advise of cancellations or delays. This has caused stress and unnecessary disruption for our family, especially given the vulnerability of the person needing care. When you try to contact someone, it’s incredibly difficult to get through, we are often told staff are “in meetings,” and calls go unanswered or unreturned. Additionally, GOC charges a fee on the purchase of goods and services through the package, a practice that many other providers do not impose. These fees can quickly add up and, in our view, offer no added value, especially given the level of service being received. While we appreciated the kindness of the nursing staff, who were generally courteous and carried out their roles professionally, the broader support and structure of the organisation were disappointing. The responsiveness, coordination, and overall delivery of care did not meet the expectations we had for a professional provider. Despite raising concerns and offering feedback along the way, we saw little meaningful improvement over time. Overall, our experience has been one of frustration, disappointment, and concern. When families are relying on a provider to care for a loved one in their senior years, there’s a basic expectation of professionalism, responsiveness, and compassion. Unfortunately, GOC has failed to meet those in our case.
