Google MapsThis company broke my heart. I started working in the office for them. I then worked in the field. Of course I had to take a second job as I couldn't afford to survive in this economy only working 5ish hours a day. They hire you as a casual worker but you are expected to act as a full time worker with none of the benefits. I had a client bad mouth nurses while I was with her. She told me that the nurses refused to push her in her wheelchair. This client was a hoarder. I tried my best to find all the parts for her wheelchair to put together but I couldn't so we hired an electric wheelchair at the shops instead. This client reported me to the agency for refusing to push her in the wheelchair. The agency did not ask my side of the story. They believed the client straight away. Another client got me to drive them to the city in heavy traffic to pick something up and drive back. With talking to the client to make them feel comfortable and driving in traffic 2+ hours I was tired. The client told the company I was tired and they spoke to me about that as well. They were ready to blame my second job for this. This was not the case I only had heather that day. It was the driving. I recently received an email from my super that Heather had removed me from their books. No I did not get an email or anything. I felt it was cowardly and they clearly did not respect me enough to let me know. By an email or call. This company does care about its clients. Unfortunately, I don't feel like that same care is given to staff as we are just staff. Clients are the business. I thought this was a lovely company. They gave you gifts at Christmas. But they believe clients over you without any doubt even when you try your hardest it's still not enough. I am no longer a nurse. This is one of the reasons why. You think it's a respected profession. In my experience, it is not. It breaks your back and your mental health. Thanks.
