Sacare (Sac (Sa))

I have found SA Care to be very supportive every -time I speak to them they are so professional and caring. They are vary open to hear feedback positive or needing follow up information. The carers that have been here have been very positive always wanting to be successful, and to assist in anyway. The agency- SA Care donated hours for the physio to continue as the hours for physio took a lot longer to be approved by the other disability organisation. I felt that there was a lot of care and concern to help with the physio and a lot of support given for me to learn to walk again.

I've had carer supports for just less than 8 months with SACARE. I've found it very good. I really like the friendliness and punctuality of the carers. They treat me very well, in fact one of the coordinators was able to get me a mattress to help with my pressure sores which has been very helpful. I would really like a regular update on the carers that are coming each shift – I know it's hard when some are away sick, however it would be really good. I'm very pleased that they can supply carers on a regular basis and I can get the help I need when required. I recommend them very highly!

There were a few too many carers that weren't very good. At the start SACARE was great, but then the manager I was working with left and I felt it went downhill. They would take a carer off and say they were sick, and then send them somewhere else. You'd get the carer the next day, and they would say they weren't sick at all. It happened quite a few times, but then I decided I needed better care. I think some of the carers need a bit more support and training to respect clients.

The staff have their absolute heart in the job – they are very honest and open which is something I really love about them. They give great care. The director is a wonderful woman – she makes the participants her priority and ensures they have the best care possible. She goes above and beyond in her work.

I'm the parent of someone living in an SACARE house. I feel he's surrounded by a good bunch of workers, they're caring and quick to respond when they need to. They keep the residents fairly busy and are open to us as the family always coming in.
