Google MapsI was at the Emergency at the hospital last night. With major knee & leg pain.. While the normal wait happened Aprox 90 min in a busy time. I was very impressed with the care when taking in, they made it very easy to understand what was going on & no question was to hard or been silly.. Thank you all for the wonderful care & support

Google MapsJust had 1 week in geelong university hospital. Can't speak highly enough of the doctors and nurses and other staff who looked after me. Very high quality of care for a public patient. A few minor improvements can always be made. The main one for me was the problem sleeping when an insensitive fellow patient had his TV going and refused to use ear muffs so others could sleep. Administration should fix this not uncommon and obnoxious problem.

Google MapsBeen there to the emergency with a 4 months old that was unwell. My first time to the emergency. Checked in at 8.30pm. At 2am I was told they were busy at the back and it was gonna take another 2 hours at least. Then I was advised to go home and call a helpline to talk to a doctor. I was quite confused because at that point there was no one left in the waiting room. Basically it was just us and a baby boy waiting to be double checked after a scan. Seriously I never felt more neglected and mistreated. The nurse at the front (Keith) couldn’t care less. He was busier eating biscuits and laughing/chatting with the other staff members. In two words? A SHAME. Shame on you for providing such a poor poor service to the community.

Google MapsWhat a horrible experience at this hospital. My nephew had X-rays done here and went to Sunshine hospital for a follow up, (because it’s closer to where he lives) they wouldn’t hand his X-rays over so he had to go all the way back to Geelong hospital. Only to be told that he was having surgery that day. He arrived at 9am. Fasted the whole day, was even dressed in a surgical gown and everything. Only to be told at 5pm that all the surgeons had gone home and if he’s able to wait at home for a call back. It’s ridiculous!! He needs stitching done, his flesh is literally hanging out of his wound and needs medical attention. By far the worst hospital experience with no patient care whatsoever! If I could give no stars, that’s what I’d be giving. Shame on you Geelong hospital 👎🏽
