By God. Best experience of my life at a medical practice. Everyone was lovely. I did not mind waiting a bit because I can understand it's a busy practice and I want the doctor of my choice, doctor Maimuna and she's a popular choice. Good quality of care delivered slowly is better than hasty service.
Absolutely appalling service by reception. The only reason I have not given a one star review is because the doctors themselves are great. It is the service by front staff at the clinic that is sorely lacking. I booked a driving medical test over the phone for 23 January 2026 at Runcorn Plaza Family Medical Practice. At the time of booking, the receptionist did not mention any out-of-pocket cost or pricing information. Unfortunately, incorrect information was also passed on to the doctor, and when the doctor called me, she said that I had not been booked for a driving medical test. After completing the appointment and leaving the clinic, I received a phone call about 15 minutes later from one of the receptionists informing me that I needed to pay $230 for the medical examination. I explained that when I booked the appointment, no one mentioned any payment or out-of-pocket fee. I was told that management would discuss the matter and get back to me. However, three days later, I started receiving daily payment reminder emails. When I called the clinic again to clarify the situation, I was told that if I did not pay, they would contact TMR and cancel my medical certificate. All other services at the clinic have been 5-star, but I recommend confirming the full cost and details before attending your appointment to avoid a similar situation.
Dr. Maimuna Akbar is, without a doubt, one of the most exceptional doctors I have ever encountered. I recently saw her for what turned out to be worst pneumonia with a few more complexities, and I am so genuinely grateful for her extra care. Her diagnostic skills are incredibly sharp. She listened carefully to my symptoms - Her experience stands her out! She got her diagnosis right (when even specialist could not diagnose after first set of tests), and then she got specialist to do extra tests that got me correct diagnosis. But what truly sets Dr. Maimuna Akbar apart is her empathy and the genuine extra care she provides. With her years of experience, I was in safe hands, but her compassionate approach is what makes her truly outstanding. Thank you indeed Dr. Maimuna Akbar for all your care, diagnosis and support when I was down quite badly.

Google MapsDear Dr Qudsia Mahmood, Wishing you a very Happy New Year filled with good health, happiness, and well-deserved moments of rest. Thank you for being such a wonderful GP and a true gem of a doctor. We are deeply grateful for your care, kindness, and professionalism, and we feel very fortunate to have you supporting our family. With warmest wishes for a bright and fulfilling year ahead, Your patients
My family has been under Dr. Akbar's care since 2012, initially at Kuraby Station Surgery. She is a highly skilled doctor. We followed her to Runcorn when she started her own practice and also met Dr. Mahmood, who is impressive. Other doctors, such as Robina, have also provided quality care, except for Dr. Batti. Doctors are very kind and also very professional. Five 🌟 for Doctors. Unfortunately, the front desk staff's performance has been subpar. Recently, when I requested my medical summary, I was unexpectedly asked to pay outstanding fees. Given my numerous appointments, it's surprising this wasn't mentioned earlier. I'm willing to pay for legitimate administrative services but not for mistakes. As a frequent caller for cancellations, I believe my medical history should be accessible without being held back by administrative issues. I expect more professionalism from the front desk staff going forward. If front staff block my medical summary, it implies that I will be unable to obtain medication from any source in Australia, which is a critical requirement, thereby preventing me from accessing life-saving medication.
