Google MapsPoor management, service , care and communication last night 21/08 . I just need a script for pain killers , I waited 4 hours . I was in excruciating pain had kids at home I did not feed . I did remind them and explain about my predicament. I am a low maintenance honest tax payer born in Melbourne just needed some understanding. I went home and overdosed on standard inappropriate ibuprofen pain killers . I am not a druggie or criminal !!!! The health minister needs to look at this hospital closely .

Google MapsWent in after being raped, for an assessment and was told by Alex, who saw me, that there was nothing they could do and no way to confirm if I had been raped or not, while being spoken to very aggressively and condescendingly, by the same man, Alex.

Google Maps**Update 02/02/2018** Just had our second child at St Vincent’s Private, once again all the staff have been brilliant. Thanks! We had our first child here, very impressed! Intelligent, caring and supportive staff who go the extra mile. Good clean facilities. Double bed was a bonus for breastfeeding/bonding sessions with bub. Better than expected food, I even received red wine with dinner. Fast wifi, handy for uploading photos of your newborn or watching Netflix while they sleep. I would definitely recommend going Private over public if you're planning for a baby.

Google MapsThis is the worst hospital I’ve ever attended by far! One case, I was admitted was for a locked knee and it took them 20 hours to send me for an MRI (even though a few hours after admission they did an X-Ray with no answers). Then to make matters worse, a nurse woke me up after I just managed to get to sleep to tell me Queen Elizabeth passed away. Why would you do this? To make it even worse they didn’t tell me I had a torn meniscus and told me to attend my GP if I was still in pain after one month. They attempted to give me crutches unsuitable for my height even though the on call physiotherapist confirmed this. It took them over an hour to sort the correct size out and the nurse kept giving me dirty looks. I’m sorry I wasn’t tall enough for the crutches you wanted to give me! To worsen the situation even more my orthopaedic surgeon had to spend over 30 minutes on the phone with them to get copies of the MRI and X-Rays for my consult. Yes, he has all day to deal with their incompetence! It delayed our consult over 30 minutes. Turns out I also had a fracture which they failed to inform me about. Second case was a kidney stone. The nurses were quite nasty and uncaring. The bathroom was so disgusting as the floor was covered in urine. I was treated like a drug addict after pain medication. Then, when the doctor confirmed it was a kidney stone the nurses decided to be polite towards me. Both times my health insurance paid for these admissions which honestly, they did not deserve one single cent of the money. If I need to attend emergency again, I’ll go to Cabrini. I need future surgeries and I am actively avoiding using St Vincent’s Health due to these poor experiences and will not use a surgeon that operates with them.
