I visited the clinic recently intending to do a walk-in, only to learn that I needed to register and book an appointment in advance — which I understand is part of the current BC healthcare system. I booked an appointment for Friday but later found another clinic that could see me sooner on Thursday, so I decided to cancel. I attempted to cancel through the email link provided, but it returned an error message stating the cancellation was unsuccessful and advised me to call the clinic. I called and waited on hold for 45 minutes, only to be disconnected without speaking to anyone. I tried again later, after lunch hours, and waited another 35 minutes with no response. Concerned about being charged for a missed appointment, I drove to the clinic to cancel in person. When I arrived, I saw four receptionists present, which makes the fact that my call was not answered even more curious. I explained the situation to one of them, showing her the error message. Unfortunately, she did not acknowledge the issue or take any steps to report or document the faulty system. When I mentioned my multiple failed attempts to call, she claimed, somewhat dismissively, that they answer all calls — a statement that didn’t align with my experience. Overall, the lack of responsiveness from the front desk and the failure to address a clearly broken/misleading email cancellation system was frustrating. It’s disappointing that this wasn’t taken seriously or even documented for improvement. I can’t speak to the quality of the doctors, but the administrative staff could benefit from better customer service training and more efficient communication practices.
Staff is polite and apologetic however no one actually cares. If there was any empathy for people waiting more than an hour past their pre booked appointment time there would be mechanisms in place to inform the patient of the delay. When there is a continuous stream of patients walking up and asking how much longer, you'd think something would be done to minimize the concern for the patient and the disruption for staff. It took me years to make an appointment, after an hour past my appointment time I was coming out of my skin, it'll take me years to make another, what a shame. Edit: Contacted customer service on the day as requested below, nothing heard back, no acknowledgement of email received, sigh. After reading the responses to all the negative reviews, it's clear they're just creating an illusion of concern by responding. How sad have things become.
I've been going to this particular clinic for many years, and though they've changed their format and become online booking mainly, they still aim to provide good general health Care to the community. The staff at this particular facility deserve all the recognition, they do a great job and I appreciate being able to go back time and time again without hassle. If everyone just gives them a little bit of patience everything works out. Thank you.
Receptionist are the most unkind, unpleasant & disrespectful, especially the short one. She is bossy & militant. Never seen her smiling face before. very Mean & rude. She is an unhappy person.
WHY THIS REVIEW :- We had set up an appointment for our son, who had been ill with a fever for the past two days, and it was supposed to be a telephonic consultation. However, when the appointed time passed without any call, my wife contacted the clinic to inquire about the delay. To our surprise, we were informed that the appointment was actually scheduled for an in-person visit because our child had a fever, despite us receiving confirmation of a telephonic appointment. WORST PART :- To make matters worse, instead of offering to reschedule the appointment, the staff member we spoke to declared it a no-show and warned us of a $93 charge for the next time. It is absurd to expect us to magically know that our telephonic appointment was switched to an in-person one. It seems that the clinic's booking system is flawed, and their procedures are unclear. NOTE FOR THE MANAGEMENT :- The management should address this issue promptly, and if they are unable to handle it, they should consider outsourcing their services.
