Extremely disappointing experience at Northern Hospital Emergency Department. I have been waiting for over 6 hours in the emergency department. Blood tests were taken, and it took around 4 hours just to get the results back. Even after the results were available, I was told the doctors were still too busy to review them. The waiting area is very small, the chairs are uncomfortable, and the area did not appear properly cleaned. The lack of communication and excessive waiting made the whole experience very frustrating. I understand emergency departments can be busy, but patients still deserve timely updates and better management. This experience seriously damaged my confidence in the healthcare system.

A FORMAL COMPLAINT WILL ALSO BE MADE! This past may 26-27 I had to go to the hospital by ambulance on Tuesday night because my im already sick from overseas and stomach pain came back, and this skin thing on my leg from my Bali trip is getting really bad—it's inflamed, red, bleeding, and feels like it's literally eating my skin. I told the ambo and the ER nurses so many times that it could be a tropical infection or contagious, but they completely ignored me. I was put in waiting are. For over 7 hours, not a single person even looked at it. And im in pain and i kept asking for 3.5 hr for pain relief, its just tablets. And they ignored and finally gave me some panadol for my abdominal pain and endone which made me super drowsy and out of it. I was just in a chair behind reception for this and then not long after around 6:30 AM, this rude young nurse named Ethan came up and told me I had to move to the waiting room outside again. I told him I was way too drugged out to even stand up properly and just asked if a doctor was ever going to look at my leg. He wouldn't even answer me, he just said if you argue or refuse il have to call secirity. I was so shocked. I said exuse me im asking a question, i said call security i didnt anyone wrong. They accused me of arguing, and called security. I had a wright to ask a question. Two massive guards showed up and started physically pushing me towards the exit. I hadn't done anything wrong, I was just trying to ask a question, ask about when im seeing a doctor and stand up for myself, and they were treating me like a criminal. Started saying dont touch me to them because wjat did i ever do for you even act like im attacking or have a weapon or im like a criminal. I saod you have cameras go chack them! I flipped out, ripped the needle cannula straight out of my own arm, and walked out yelling at them for how disgusting they were. My whole night was wasted, im so tired, it ws bayram. I'm in more pain, my leg is worse, and I'm traumatized by how they treated me. There is more but this is cutting it short! Nurses amd staff we appaulling that night!

Worst experience I have had last two days in Northern Hospital. The staffs are quite racist. They were bossing me around, went and see one of my friends. They wouldn’t let me walk through the wards maternity unit from ward 15 to 11, she said to go all the way around, then go there .I found it very disrespectful and staff was parking in disability bay and I asked them if I could park there as I have disability permit, he walked right into my face and walked away, said I will not answer you very unprofessional.

I recently had to take my 11‑year‑old to the emergency department, and I cannot thank the team enough for the exceptional service we received. From the moment we arrived, the doctors and nurses were highly professional, friendly, and incredibly responsive. They made a stressful situation so much easier with their calm and caring approach. The children’s emergency area was spotless, well‑organised, and very comfortable — which helped my child feel safe and at ease. It was clear that the staff genuinely care about their patients and go above and beyond to provide the best possible treatment. I’m truly grateful for the outstanding support and compassion shown to us. Northern Hospital Epping is a credit to the community, and I would highly recommend their emergency services to any family in need.

I had a very good experience with the Northern Hospital Laboratory team. I spoke with Kon regarding an issue with my son’s test results. My son was in hospital, and I needed his results sent urgently to his specialist private doctor. I had tried many times before, but the results were still not being sent. Thankfully, I explained the situation to Kon over the phone, and he was extremely helpful, understanding, and professional. Kon explained that he could not send the results directly to me or discuss the results over the phone due to privacy rules, but he reassured me that he would make sure the results were sent to the specialist doctor as soon as possible. Within 5 minutes, the results were successfully sent to the specialist doctor. I was so happy and relieved. Kon showed great empathy and understanding during our conversation, and his support made a stressful situation much easier for me. Thank you, Kon, for your excellent help and care.
