The Royal Melbourne Hospital

Went to emergency department with my partner who was suffering from severe back pain. We were seen by Dr Alice who is by far one of the rudest and most dismissive people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My partner was on the verge of tears in pain, dr gave her some panadol and a heat pack and basically said jog on. Do not come to this hospital if you expect any form of professionalism or treatment of pain.

I feel weird writing a review for a hospital but, I'm not going to say what it was for, but on the 24th April at around midday I went to the emergency, like a weirdo... I think my doctors name was Dr Millie (something) I think she was English, straight up, what a wonderful human being, great EM doctor - She checked everything that it could possibly be; bloodwork, and ECG, all test that she could think of so I didn't walk out of there thinking I was crazy.

Other than the wait time to visit for your treatment which took my wife almost 2 months just for iron infusion, everything was perfect from doctors to nurses all staff are very courteous and caring. Clean and properly maintained hospital. Parking is an issue so come early to find a street car park. There is an IGA store nearby and an Australia post in the main building.

My brother went there with appendicitis, long waiting time in ED. Got the surgery after 22 hours. Discharged the next early morning from Ward 2b to transit lounge without discharge summary. Waited next 2-3 hours in the transit lounge just to get discharge summary. One of the nurse told discharge summary would be emailed or will be available in portal or we could wait until 6-7pm as they are open until that time . We left hoping we would get the discharge summary by evening. Nothing for another 24 hours, followed up 4 times for the same reason including call and enail, still couldn’t get the discharge Summary from ward 2B. This happened today.

Worst hospital every during public holidays. When you sick you are sick, the staffs so just to for PA so that they angry with patient when they could not get the temperature down. Not have accurate documentation skill, especially there too much different the pathology collector skill make our recovery turn to nightmare
